Maggie … Princess of The Studio

 In Journal, The Studio

No studio in complete without its own fur-companion, its own feline or canine apprentice … and in The Studio I had my own stoically independent Princess of The Studio, Maggie. 19 April 2012 – 7 August 2021.

Maggie was a Scottish Deerhound … a regal beast whose size was matched by the gentleness of her nature. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, leaving me with a giant shaggy furball hole in my heart.

Many students got to know Maggie at my workshops. She came to me when she was just 3 1/2 month old, living to 9 years and 4-ish months. This is my blog and my websites, so I’m going to indulge myself and write about my girl.

She was an old girl, but the sudden nature of her passing has left me shocked.

Many students got to know her … she was often the greeting party when people arrived at The Studio, assuming everyone was coming to visit her. She learned that students often meant treats! And she absolutely knew when we were having lunch. With legs as long as hers it was easy to see what was on the table.

I can’t imagine running workshops without her. I miss my Maggie ❤️❤️❤️

Our fur-family members are not with us nearly long enough !!
