The Howard Street Wall

“Not often when walking down a humble footpath and past a bustling shopping centre are we also walking through an art gallery, but in Nambour you get to do exactly that.” writes Rebecca Mugridge for Hinterland Times.

Rebecca contacted me to ask about my contribution, Summer Recess, to the Howard Street Mural public art project. I was chuffed.

Below is my contribution, Summer Recess. It is a monotype print working with local botanicals. It tells the story of a summer afternoon, taking respite form the heat under the shade of a Jacaranda tree.

It is a privilege to have been asked to participate in this project. And thank you Rebecca for sharing the story.
