A forest is not made by trees alone
This book brings into view what the framed Hidden Relationships works partly conceal.
Blind embossings of birds, insects and plant structures draw attention to the lives connected through food, pollination and seed dispersal.
Five glassine folios each hold a blind-embossed sheet paired with a thin printed overlay. Questions invite the reader to consider who feeds on a plant, pollinates its flowers or carries its seeds. Lifting the overlay reveals the embossing, where light and shadow give shape to these relationships.
The unbound pages invite a close encounter, one pairing at a time. Looking, reading and lifting bring these connections into view: the lives and exchanges through which a forest grows and continues.
