Enrolment into and attendance at any of The Confident Creative – Professional Development for Creatives series of workshops with Kim Herringe at The Studio is subject to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. General Terms and Conditions
- Workshop numbers are kept small to maximise my attention with you while you are learning new processes and techniques. There is a maximum and minimum number of participants per class. Book early to secure your place. If the minimum number of participants is not achieved within 1 week of the workshop date, the workshop may be cancelled.
- During all workshops I will request permission to take photographs of classes for use in my website and social media for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, that’s no problem at all, please let me know at the time.
- An email is sent to workshop participants 1 week before each workshop date. That email confirms workshop date and time and The Studio address. The email also includes a link to specific information important to that workshop. It will be assumed that the participant has read that email prior to workshop attendance, and contacted Kim Herringe if anything is unclear regarding inclusions and expectations. By attending the workshop, students acknowledge they understand the expectations and inclusions outlined in the pre-workshop email.
2. Booking and Payment
- You will be emailed an invoice within 1-2 days of sending your Booking Enquiry.
- Full payment is required to secure your booking.
- Payment can be made via PayPal or direct deposit.
3. Transfer, Cancellations and Refunds
You may transfer your booking to another person at any time. Please contact me to arrange this.
Cancellations of individual workshops by Participants*:
- Cancellations made 2 or more weeks prior to a booked workshop date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 2 weeks of a booked workshop date will not receive a refund.
– Where possible, every effort is made to fill your place with a participant on the workshop wait list. If this is possible, I can then refund your workshop fee.
Cancellations of bundled workshops by Participants*:
- Cancellations of an entire workshop bundle made two or more weeks prior to the date of the earliest run workshop in that bundle will receive a full refund.
- Cancellation of individual workshops that were purchased as part of a bundle, but have not run yet, can be refunded as per the following:
- Cancellations made 2 or more weeks prior to a booked workshop date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 2 weeks of a booked workshop date will not receive a refund unless that space can be filled.
- You forfeit the bonus one-on-one follow-up support chat/s.
Cancellation by me:
- I may cancel a workshop due to insufficient participant numbers or unforeseen circumstances (eg illness). In this event, you will be offered a refund.
- If a workshop included in a bundle is cancelled by me, you will be offered a reschedule option or a pro-rata refund for that session.
Cancellation due to Weather and Travel Conditions:
- Workshops will proceed in wet or rainy weather unless conditions are deemed hazardous or an official weather warning is in effect.
- If I cancel a workshop due to severe weather or safety concerns, participants will be offered the choice of a refund or credit for another workshop.
- If a participant chooses not to attend due to personal concerns about weather or travel, and the workshop is still running, no refund will be provided.
*Note: If a workshop was paid via PayPal, the PayPal transaction fee is non-refundable.
4. Workshop Content Disclaimer
These workshops are based on my personal experience as a professional artist, educator, and former creative business owner. The information shared is intended for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. I, Kim Herringe, am not responsible for any outcomes resulting from the application of this content. For advice specific to your situation, please consult with a qualified professional.
5. Additional Information
No responsibility will be taken for any personal property left at the facility, nor liability for any personal injury, unless caused through negligence on the part of your tutor.
