Gift Voucher purchases are subject to the following terms and conditions. There are two types of gift vouchers available:
- Workshop-Specific Gift Vouchers (valid for a designated workshop or workshop year)
- General Gift Vouchers (valid for all other offerings, including private tuition, weekly classes, online workshops, and general purchases)
Please read the conditions below carefully.
1. Workshop-Specific Gift Vouchers
These vouchers are issued for a named workshop or for a workshop taking place within a specific calendar year.
They are valid only for the workshop stated on the voucher, or for another workshop within the same calendar year, subject to availability.
If the voucher holder cannot attend the specified workshop, they may transfer to another workshop in the same calendar year or roll the voucher over to the following year. If the workshop fee has increased, the voucher holder will need to pay the difference.
Workshop-specific vouchers are non-refundable.
Transfer to another person is permitted with the written consent of the original voucher holder.
If a workshop booked using a workshop-specific voucher is cancelled by Kim Herringe (e.g. due to low numbers or unforeseen circumstances), the voucher can be transferred to another workshop within its validity period.
Note: These vouchers are tied to a specific event or year and are therefore not subject to the 3-year minimum expiry rule under Australian Consumer Law.
2. General Gift Vouchers
These vouchers may be redeemed for any available offering, including private tuition, online workshops, in-person workshops, weekly classes, or other studio services.
General gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
If the value of the service booked exceeds the voucher value, the voucher holder may pay the difference.
If the value of the service booked is less than the voucher value, no refund or credit for the difference will be provided.
General vouchers are non-refundable.
Transfer to another person is permitted with the written consent of the original voucher holder.
3. Business Closure or Pause of Operations
Gift vouchers (of any type) can only be redeemed while Kim Herringe and The Studio are actively operating and offering services.
If the business permanently closes or operations pause for an extended period, any outstanding vouchers are no longer redeemable, and no refunds or compensation will be provided.
4. Booking Terms and Conditions
All gift voucher bookings, whether for workshops, private tuition, weekly classes or online workshops, are subject to the standard Workshop Booking Terms and Conditions, including cancellation, transfer, and refund policies.
