Bunya trees inspire state recognition for Maleny paper artist – Sunshine Valley Gazette

In Artist Books, In the Media

This feels incredibly special! With so few local newspapers still in print, it’s a rare and special treat to see an article about my work in our Sunshine Valley Gazette – printed on real paper with real ink. The story highlights my latest artist book, Hinterland Bunyas, Curramore, 24 August 2024, and its acquisition by the State Library of Queensland.

The piece highlights the book’s addition to the State Library of Queensland’s Artists’ Books Collection, alongside sky dancers.

The article shares insights into my inspiration, creative process and passion for printmaking. It also explores my teaching practice and how I help others discover the magic and beauty of printmaking.

I’m so grateful for this recognition—click here to read the full article on the Sunshine Valley Gazette’s website.

Thank you Sunshine Valley Gazette for the wonderful article!
