GET READY…

Get ready for a fun, relaxed day of exploration and play—there’s no right or wrong, and experimentation is the order of the day.

We’ll print with botanicals and found objects using commercial gel plates, and you’ll also receive a DIY recipe to make your own plate at home.

You’ll leave the workshop with a series of unique monotype prints and new skills you can continue to develop on your own.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Everything you need for this workshop is covered in your workshop fee. You’re welcome to bring additional plant materials (see below), but rest assured I’ll have everything ready to go.

You’ll leave with a collection of unique monoprints, a gel plate DIY recipe, and the confidence to keep printing at home.

WHAT TO BRING

A sense of fun and play: This is a fun process with no right or wrong, and experimentation is the order of the day. Relax, explore, and enjoy yourself!

Plant materials: We’ll use a variety of leaves and botanical items, along with several other marking-making items. You are welcome to bring your own botanicals. Soft leaves, weeds and leaves with strong vein structures are great; avoid sharp, spikey or thorny bits that might damage the plate. If you’re unsure, feel free to bring them along anyway – we’ll discuss it on the day.

Clothing: Wear closed-toe, comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting paint on. An apron is handy if you have one.

Notebook and pen: Great for jotting down notes or ideas.

Camera/phone: You’re more than welcome to photograph the process and take photos within the studio, but no video.

A SENSE OF FUN & PLAY – this is a fun process to work with. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, and experimentation and play are the orders of the day.

LUNCH & SNACKS

Morning and afternoon tea: A light morning and afternoon tea (gluten-free) is provided during this workshop. As is tea and coffee throughout the day.

Lunch: Please bring your own. You can also pop into town to grab something, though parking can be difficult on weekends. There’s a fridge, microwave, and cutlery in the studio if you need them.

ARRIVE TIME

Aim to arrive by 9:45am so we can kick off promptly at 10am. The Studio will be open from 9:30am.

If you’re running late, don’t rush – drive safely. Call or text me at 0413 384 426 to let me know, and I’ll catch you up when you arrive.
