This workshop is held my own private studio at:
10 Nadi Lane, North Maleny
5 minutes drive from the Maleny township. Scroll down the page to see the Google map.
PARKING
CARPORT – Fits 2 cars.
SIDE PARKING AREA – Fits 3–4 cars; the first car should park snugly at the front to allow room for others.
OVERFLOW – If everything is full, you can park in the driveway, and we’ll shuffle cars if needed. Street parking is also available on the grass verge.
ON ARRIVAL
Head through the carport and into the studio. I’ll be inside, getting everything ready for our morning.
Please take a moment to read through the information on this page. It contains important information about your upcoming workshop.
If, after reading the information below, you still have questions before our time together, please call 0413 384 426 or email me.
GET READY…
Get ready for another day of fun and play, but with more of an intentional approach than your first gel plate monoprinting workshop.
This will still be a day where there are no mistakes and experimentation is an essential component of the process – but I will share with you some new ‘sequences’ and we’ll look at colour selection, intentional placement of objects on the plate, design, composition and colour interaction, and more.
We will be working with the same 6″x6″ commercial gel plates that we did on your previous workshop – and I will have a workstation setup with a larger plate so you can have a play with that too.
WHAT TO BRING
You are welcome to bring any work you have printed since our Gelatin Plate Monoprinting workshop (but no issue whatsoever if you’ve not had a chance to print since then!). If you printed something in your first workshop but not quite sure what or how you did it, bring it along and we can work through it.
If you’ve not come to my first gel printing workshop, I’d love to see a few pieces that you have printed.
You are also welcome to bring any foliage or items that you particularly want to print or experiment with. I will have a large collection on hand, but if there is something special you want to try (or have been working with at home), bring it/them along. Just nothing sharp on the plate.
Oh – and don’t forget to bring lunch 🙂
LUNCH & SNACKS
Morning and afternoon tea: A light morning and afternoon tea (gluten-free) is provided during this workshop. As is tea and coffee throughout the day.
Lunch: Please bring your own. You can also pop into town to grab something, though parking can be difficult on weekends. There’s a fridge, microwave, and cutlery in the studio if you need them.
